What's the difference between thin veneer and full-bed veneer?
Thin veneer is cut to a shallow depth and adheres directly to a prepared wall surface — lighter, and often used on existing structures. Full-bed veneer is the full thickness of the stone, set on a footing like a masonry wall, and typically used on new construction or foundations.
Can stone veneer go over my existing foundation or siding?
In most cases, yes, with the right prep — a weather barrier and lath for thin veneer, or a proper ledge for full-bed. We'll check what's underneath during your on-site consult before we spec the install.
How long does stone veneer last?
Set correctly with the right prep and drainage plane behind it, natural stone veneer is one of the longest-lasting exterior finishes available — it's stone, not a coating. Every job comes with a written labor warranty.
